Kanji Zen respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.
Data Collection
Kanji Zen does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.
The app does not use analytics, advertising networks, tracking tools, third-party tracking SDKs, or user accounts.
Data Stored on Your Device
Kanji Zen stores learning data locally on your device, including:
- study progress
- review history
- daily goal progress
- streak information
- custom vocabulary or user-created items, if you add them
- app settings
This information stays on your device and is not sent to the developer or to any external server.
Backups and Exported Data
If you choose to export or share a backup from the app, that action is controlled by you. Any exported file may contain your locally saved study progress or custom vocabulary. Kanji Zen does not automatically upload backups anywhere.
Speech and Pronunciation
Kanji Zen may use iOS system speech features to play Japanese pronunciation. The app does not record audio and does not request microphone access.
Children’s Privacy
Kanji Zen does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Data Deletion
You can delete your learning progress using the “Reset progress” option in Settings. You can also remove the app from your device to delete locally stored app data.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app’s features or data practices change. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
