Shakuhachi SRS is a personal practice companion for shakuhachi players. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.

Information We Collect

Shakuhachi SRS does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information with the developer.

The app does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or social features.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores your practice data locally on your device. This may include:

  • Piece titles
  • Piece categories, degrees, and labels
  • Practice dates and session notes
  • Attached sheet music files
  • YouTube links added by you
  • Imported library data

This information stays on your device unless you choose to export it or share it using system sharing features.

Import and Export

Shakuhachi SRS allows you to import and export your library data. Exported files are created only when you choose to export them. You are responsible for where you save or share exported files.

Imported data is read by the app so it can add or replace pieces in your local library.

Sheet Music Files

When you add sheet music files, the app stores local copies so they can be opened inside the app. These files are not uploaded to the developer or any server operated by the developer.

YouTube Videos

If you add a YouTube link and open the embedded YouTube player, the video is loaded from YouTube using a web view. YouTube and Google may receive information related to that request, such as your device’s IP address, browser or web view information, and video playback activity.

Third-Party Services

Shakuhachi SRS does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

The only third-party service available in the app is YouTube, and only when you add and play a YouTube video link.

Data Retention

Your data remains stored locally on your device until you delete it, remove individual pieces or files, overwrite your library through import, or uninstall the app.

The developer does not have access to your local app data and therefore cannot delete it remotely.

Children’s Privacy

Shakuhachi SRS is not designed to collect information from children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will include a new “Last updated” date.
